The role of the Residential Care Worker is to supervise and facilitate the daily activities of the residents in relation to their individual goals and plans. This is a full time indefinite term position consisting of shift work, i.e., days, evenings, weekends.
Responsibilities:

- Knowledge of mental illnesses/mental health issues
- Excellent time management, organizational and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to teach and practice the skills of daily living
- Demonstrated skills in establishing supportive, trusting relationships
- Demonstrated flexibility and creativity
- Knowledge of community resources
Qualifications:
- University or College education in Human Services, other related disciplines, or high school diploma and related training/experience
Technical requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- First Aid Certificate
- Subject to Criminal Record Check
- Child and Adult Abuse registry check
