Eden Health Care Services in partnership with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority provides community programs as well as services and supports specific to individuals residing at Concordia Village IV. Concordia Village IV is an affordable apartment consisting of 45 units of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites - located at 1055 Molson Street, Winnipeg.

The Housing and Supports Coordinator of Concordia Village IV program plans, directs and coordinates the Group Program which facilitates in meeting the tenants’ social, recreational, intellectual, physical and spiritual needs. The Coordinator will plan the program according to Psychosocial Rehabilitation Recovery Principles. This is a full time position with flexible hours and may require some evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning, arranging and leading educational, recreational and psychosocial groups for clients living with mental health concerns
• Planning, arranging and leading group activities for the apartment complex as a whole.
• Running the community drop-in
• Filling in for program manager when necessary
• Writing case notes, keeping accurate records
• Being available for on-call emergencies as required

Qualifications

• Commitment to the mission, vision and values of Eden Health Care Services
• Bachelor of Social Work or Graduate of a Bachelor level accredited post-secondary program related to mental health services or other related health and human service education considered
• Familiarity with the mental health field, particularly with the Psychosocial Rehabilitation approach to recovery.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• The ability to make appropriate decisions and to process problem solving.
• The ability to react appropriately in crisis and under stress.
• The ability to work effectively with a team and with external organizations.
• Good written and verbal skills.
• Subject to Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry and Adult Abuse Registry checks.
